Dunbarton is the subdivision in the Bristow area that is the 55 plus community for the Braemar subdivision. It consists of a variety of homes offering the best in single level or multi level homes. Consisting of homes built by Brookfield and Centex, it is located close to the Braemar shopping centre with access to restuarants, a major grocery store, gas station and a variety of other stores. A new shopping centre is being built at the junction of Rte 28 Nokesville Road and Linton Hall Road and will feature an upmarket grocery store as it's centrepiece.

The community is gated and has clubhouse facilities for residents. The Dunbarton Club is open daily from 10:00-6 and offers a variety of options. There is a heated indoor pool and hydraspa, a fitness room with Cardio and Strength equipment. both accessed by an elevator or stairs from the main level.
