Prince William County has many residents who work in Washington DC and the areas nearby that support the Federal Government and the Department of Defense. The people are either Federal employees or contractors to the various government agencies.

To accomodate these residents there are a multiplicity of organisations and systems that allow for carpooling, commuter rail and teleworking.

TeleWorking

There is a telework facility in Manassas located at Manassas Telework Center, 9500 Godwin Drive, Manassas, VA  20110 It's administered by Washington Metropolitan Telework Centers and more information can be found at their web site.

Commuter Rail and Metro

The VRE, Virginia Rail Express, has two lines, one originates at Manassas Airport and the other in Fredericksberg, VA.

In addition the Potomac and Rapphanock Transportation Commission offers OmniRide bus service from Manassas and from Eastern Prince William County connecting to the Metro system and the Pentagon as well as downtown DC.
